What a Wonderful month to kayak and an Awesome way to wrap up April's Autism Awareness Month! Finally, an outdoor adventure with very comfortable temperatures! Kayak Spots are Limited to a minimum number for our group so we can easily stay together on the river & considering this type of adventure. PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately, like everything else prices have increased everywhere. But also keep this in mind that the present cost of a kayak rental for 2 hrs. ''Typically'' runs $70. for a single kayak and $130. or more for a double rider/tandem.
With that being said, we are obviously getting a very good discount for our Autism Welcomed Symbol test-drives charge which is $35.50 for a single rider and $ 56.50 for a double rider/Tandem. So, in light of the discounted cost, I hope you will keep this in mind and decide to join us. Maybe chalk this up to a relaxing and rejuvenating way to enjoy nature at its comfortable April temps :) Don't wait too long to decide. These Kayak Tickets Will Go Fast. And once we've reached our maxed group number, tickets will not be available until the next test drive we have here in November 2023.
COST: (Discounted just for us Today on April 29, 2023 *Saturday*$35.50 for a single rider and $56.50 for a double rider/Tandem. The cost will include: Your Kayak, The deivering and pick up of your kayak to and from the river, a Shuttle for our group to and from the river, life jackets, and a personal guide down the river, it will also include your entry for the Autism welcomed Raffle as well as an additional raffle just for our special guys/girls. Kayaking down the river ty[pically takes a couple of hrs so no one feels rushed and don't worry the time will fly by and never feels like two hrs. (10:30am-12:30pm Kayakers Then From 12:45pm-2:00pm Picnic & Raffle)
ALL Attending PLEASE ARRIVE No Later than: 10:00am (Parking at RUM GPS Address Given*) Parking has been waived for us and will be FREE for us at Rum 138 where we will be meeting up. If you choose to park at the river where we will exit our kayaks there is a $5. parking fee now at the Swimming area. You will need to place your $5 cash in an envelope and in the drop box at the river parking entry or to the front desk at RUM 138.

FOOD: There is NO place to eat here now. So be sure to eat a late breakfast before you arrive and pack your own favorite snacks and lunch for you to picnic with us after our kayak adventure. #SMAARTMom will personally be providing extra bottles of water for all who attend and fruit snacks for our guys and girls just in case you don't bring enough.
*PAYMENT* IMPORTANT NOTICE OF CHANGES: There will no longer be registrations for EACH person attending this test-drive; you will simply "click" the numbers kayaking then proceed to check-out and pay for your ticket(s). You will then be emailed an immediate confirmation. PLEASE BRING your PAYMENT CONFIRMATION with the Autism Welcomed Decal Symbol and Barcode on it. It can be on printed paper or on your phone so that I can check you in once you arrive the day of the scheduled Test-Drive. If you don't receive payment confirmation. (For years I have paid the processing fees through ticket processors, I'm sorry but I just can't pay it out of my own pocket anymore. Therefore, when you pay for your ticket(s) there will also be a processing fee. I just simply can't pay the extra anymore when I'm already still continuing with paying the cost for my Raffle prizes and goodies, I still would like to give our special guys and girls. Remember, I am not an organization or business. Nor do I want to become one. I don't make money from my Test-Drives, nor do I ask for donations. Call me crazy, But I'm more interested in Creating Smiles. I am just a symbol trying to open doors for families like myself living with autism, in addition to offering your family new experiences & adventures that we ALL can hopefully afford at the discounts I'm able to find for us. I sincerely want to encourage you to try at least one time WITH my Dustin and me any monthly Autism Welcomed test-drive. After all, if you don't try, how will you ever know?
RAFFLE ELIGIBILITY: Each Kayaker WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE ELIGIBLE TO ENTER FOR FREE THE AWD RAFFLE AND ONLY AUTISTIC INDIVIDUALS WILL BE ELIGIBLE TO ENTER THE Autism Welcomed Raffle! EVERY Autistic Person will go Home with a Special Prize regardless. Good Luck & I Hope you are this Month's Winner!
One more thing... Please don't forget to get the additional ticket for your shirt also included in your ticket purchase. I need to know what size (ONLY) kayakers are wearing. Free Tickets will not be eligibal for a shirt. Sorry.
