The Autism Welcomed Decal Symbol is not an organization. It's an autism symbol with a unique purpose. The purpose of not just a way for a place to express its visual autism support but to more importantly express its visual Autism Acceptance and Understanding for families who find it very difficult to enter those everyday places they know aren't sensory friendly, but they enter regardless. Many Autism events happen once a year and then that's it, there's not sign that our autism families were ever there. Thus, many of these families don't come back until the next autism event. The Autism Welcomed Decal Symbol stays ''Permanently'' at the entrance of the places #SMAARMom host her Autism Welcomed Symbol, NO Events, BUT Test-Drives. Because that is what they are. They are an opportunity to Test-Drive an experience into places autism families may not be sure of the outcome when they bring their guy or girl in to. The test-drives are affordable and with others who are walking in their shoes including #SMAARMom herself with her adult autistic son, Dustin. The twist here is after our families leave and have a good time, the symbol will always remain at the entrance to greet these families on another day that isn't a test drive day but will stay here waiting to greet them with its welcoming smile drawn by Dustin himself, encouraging them to come back and to make more smiling kind of memories.
